A NEW COUNTRY, A NEW LANGUAGE!
Born in Bordeaux, I grew up in the south-west of France. After graduating in Modern Literature, I lived in the Netherlands for 13 years. There I learnt Dutch and did a Masters in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) in Rotterdam.
A new life, a new language! I understood the difficulties involved in learning a foreign language and adapting to another culture.
This life experience has made me very attentive to my students. I want to support them as best I can so that they gain self-confidence and dare to speak (even with mistakes)...
All this while sharing my daily life, discovering a magnificent region and ... in good humour, of course! Immersion
A FAMILY "HALF FRENCH, HALF DUTCH"!
My husband is called Sten and he's Dutch. We have two children, born in Rotterdam, so we're a 'half French, half Dutch' family!
Let me also introduce you to Nina, our little border terrier, who has been sharing our life since 2017.
Practical info: we are both non-smokers and smoking is not allowed inside the house (although it's no problem on the terrace and in the garden!).
LEARN FRENCH ON HOLIDAY!
Our house is located on the border between the Périgord Blanc and the Périgord Pourpre.
It's an ideal place to study, in a region renowned for its historical sites, its landscapes and its typical villages.
There is a train station 500m away with connections to Périgueux (15 minutes) and Bordeaux (1 hour); Bergerac and its airport are 45 minutes away. The nearest village, Neuvic, is 2 km away.
It's the ideal place to combine language learning and holidays!
